• 2015 Nolan Pinot Noir Willamette Valley, Oregon

Oregon’s Willamette Valley has leapt the ranks to become one of the pillars of Pinot Noir cultivation throughout the entire world. The region’s cool climate and Jory (basalt-based volcanic) soils are ideal for the fickle grape, creating an environment for Pinot Noir to fully develop its hypnotizing flavor profile and dazzling aromatics. After a legendary 2014 campaign, the 2015 vintage appears to be equally impressive after another warm dry growing season. We are thrilled to showcase the year’s beauty with our first release from the vintage, our 2015 Nolan.

Deep burgundy in color, the nose delivers high toned nuances of raspberry and black tea that settle with air to reveal deeper hints of potpourri and sautéed porcini mushroom. The palate has a lush velvety mouthfeel with rich flavors of black cherry and plum sauce, all leading to a satin finish accented by classic flavors of sandalwood and damp earth with a persistent tannin that ensures another 8-10 years of evolution in the bottle.

  • 2015 Keto Chardonnay, Napa Valley, California

The Carneros AVA, with its cool breezes from the San Pablo Bay and mineral laden poor soils, is home to one of the world’s finest terroirs for the Chardonnay grape. With the lone exception of France’s Chablis region, there may be no other place where the grape thrives with such vibrant flavor intensity, mineral complexity, and refreshing acidity. This revered style of Chardonnay is alive and well with the 2015 Keto, a welcome introduction to yet another fine vintage for the Napa Valley and a classic example of the appellation’s terroir.

Pale greenish gold in color, the nose exudes creamy pear, briny minerality, and an undertone of fresh citrus zest. Rich mandarin and lemon flavors persist on the palate leading to a firm bracing acidity through the finish with flavors of green apple and lime. Only the Carneros terroir can contribute such a unique mix of rich full citric fruit flavors while maintaining laser like acidity and a pure pulsing finish.

  • 2015 Harmon Cabernet Sauvignon California, USA

Our pursuit of sourcing a classic example of California Cabernet Sauvignon doesn’t always lead us to the Napa or Sonoma Valley. Our greatest finds and happiest discoveries are often made on the wine road less travelled and we are excited to offer you one with the 2015 Harmon Cabernet Sauvignon. This 100% Cabernet is crafted from two contrasting regions – a cool often foggy hillside vineyard site in Mendocino County above Ukiah together with the warm sunny vineyards of Lodi. The combination of these two sites has made for a complete Cabernet experience that is both refined and complex.

Deep magenta in color, the nose offers dark cherry and blackberry fruits together with accents of grilled herbs, cigar box, and spice. Rich and silky on the palate, soft plum and cassis flavors are coated with hints of vanilla and earth as the wine opens up. The tannin is silky and polished throughout the tasting experience, especially as the wine finishes with hints of licorice and fresh herbs. An approachable style of Cabernet destined to impress a wide spectrum of red wine lovers.

  • 2015 Lotus Creek Pinot Noir Willamette Valley, Oregon

The Willamette Valley’s Dundee Hills region offers a wonderful reference point for the greatness Pinot Noir can achieve in the New World. With its cool climate, poor red iron-rich soils, and protected location, Dundee Hills has good reason to be considered the true heart of Oregon Wine Country. The 2015 harvest was warm, dry, and early, an ideal combination to bring out the best in the region. We adore this area for its unique expression of Pinot Noir and we are proud to showcase it with the 2015 Lotus Creek.

Deep magenta in color, the nose offers an elegant perfume of lavender and cinnamon-laced red cherry complemented by subtle notes of white pepper and sweet basil. The palate delivers rich, decadent flavors of red cherry and strawberry with sandalwood and black tea nuances in a delicate, refined manner, a style unique to great Pinot Noir. The wine finishes with a sleek elegant tannin structure and great balance with the bracing acidity, bringing freshness and accessibility. Lovely today, the Lotus Creek should evolve and gain complexity over the next 8-10 years.

  • 2014 Sheehan Chardonnay Lodi, California

California’s proud wine history cannot be written without the inclusion of the Central Valley’s Lodi region. Located at the northern edge of the San Joaquin Valley east of the San Francisco Bay, Lodi’s Mediterranean climate and rocky soils are home to some of the state’s oldest vines and most cherished sites, many of which were vital to the nation’s wine industry before and during Prohibition. While Napa and Sonoma have become global ambassadors for the high end luxury segment, Lodi is an integral part of the foundation that makes Californian wine great in terms of both quantity and quality. Today the region is experiencing a well-deserved renaissance with a more refined focus on small production and precise winemaking, such as our 2014 Sheehan Chardonnay.

Pale gold in color, the nose exudes floral nuances of jasmine and honeysuckle with a rich undertone of poached pear and a vibrant expression of oyster shell. Rich and luscious on the palate, honey dipped apple flavors are balanced by nuances of lemon and pineapple. The wine finishes with a beautiful creamy texture and fleshy flavors of pear and apricot. A truly delicious example of California Chardonnay.

  • 2014 Colburn Pinot Noir Willamette Valley, Oregon

The Willamette Valley has reached a level of quality where many people mention it in the same breath as Burgundy as the ultimate reference point for Pinot Noir. Full flavored and savory but structured with remarkable finesse, the region’s top wines certainly bring out the best in the varietal. It has been a short fifty years since the first plantings of this finicky grape, but the incredible wines speak for themselves.

The warm, dry harvest of the 2014 vintage has delivered a benchmark year for the Willamette Valley and we are exciting to showcase its excellence with our Colburn. Faded crimson in color, the nose showcases all there is to love about great Pinot Noir with its perfume of gingerbread, rose petal, mushroom and forest floor. The palate carries decadent flavors of raspberry and red cherry skins from the warm, dry harvest together with nuances of mineral-tinged damp soil. The harmony between the wine’s acidity and velvety tannin delivers a stunning finish that lasts for minutes, making the Colburn an ideal food pairing wine. Lovely today, the wine should evolve beautifully over the next 7-10 years if properly cellared.

  • 2014 Sorada Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, California

Napa Valley’s extraordinary 2014 harvest has granted us the opportunity to once again produce our most re-requested and popular domestic wine – the Sorada Cabernet Sauvignon. After a third consecutive year of drought for Napa Valley and most of California, the vineyard conditions were ideal to have the necessary concentration, complexity, and structure for this wine to bear the Sorada name. Always sourced from our favorite hillside vineyards, the 2014 is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon with only 3% Merlot, all from hillside parcels within the Saint Helena AVA.

Deep glossy purple in color, the nose is a bold expression of mulberry and carmelized blueberry kissed with nuances of pencil shavings and earth. The massive palate boasts dense flavors of blackberry jam and dark chocolate, leading to a bold tannic finish softened by 3% Merlot in the final blend. Approachable today and best after several hours of air, our past vintages are evidence the Sorada should evolve beautifully over the next 15 years.

  • 2014 Glasson Chardonnay Sonoma County, California

The Russian River Valley has a well-deserved reputation in the wine industry for being one of the finest New World regions for top flight Chardonnay. While the region still holds many examples of classic old vine Zinfandel plantings, its cool foggy mornings and warm sunny days are ideally suited for a deeply concentrated style of Chardonnay that exudes ripe tropical flavors with finesse and complexity. We have always championed the finest examples of Chardonnay from the region and are proud to showcase its potential with our 2014 Glasson Chardonnay.

Pale gold in color, the nose is complex with lemongrass, fig and caramelized green apple together with hints of splintered cedar and toasted vanilla. Rich and generous on the palate, the creamy poached pear and soft citrus flavors lead to a bold lengthy finish complete with nuances of caramel, oaken spice and a nervy mineral undertone. Serving the Glasson slight below cellar temperature showcases the exotic aromatics best while also keeping the rich flavors vibrant and refreshing on the palate.
