This golden beauty comes from Greg’s favorite vineyard in the Coteaux de l’Ardeche region where he is only working with the best biodynamically-farmed vines. The wine’s bouquet is an explosion of lychee, banana skins, and crème fraiche. The exotic body has lush, tropical flavors that could make the finest Condrieu blush; you could easily mistake it for one in a blind tasting. The finish really shows why 2007 is such a special year; all the rich decadent fruit cleans up with nuances of anise, peach and a healthy kick of orange blossom. It’s delicious to just drink on its own but this was made to pair with Dover Sole stuffed with crabmeat and toasted almonds.
