Just one look at the liquid gold color and you know you’re in for something special. The nose is ridiculous – soft citrus, honeyed pear, and a touch of white flowers. Then the body seduces you with a mix of lemon pulp, apple butter and vanilla bean. It’s rich and curvy but still elegant and delicate, the perfect combination. The finish is fantastic, there’s a hint of spice that combines with the minerality and just the right touch of oak. I love how this is drinking right now, especially with a simple shellfish dish like steamed mussels, but you could easily hold on to it for a few more years too!
