2014 Doherty Cabernet Sauvignon ($35/bottle) – Deep crimson in color, the Doherty’s nose reveals perfumed aromas of licorice, spice, and pencil shavings, leading to richer hints of blueberry, cedar and mocha as the wine opens up. The palate is silky and refined with soft flavors of dark cherry and cassis, complemented beautifully by a silky tannin structure. The finish contributes dark chocolate, blackberry, grilled herb flavors, and a healthy dose of gravelly earth that should only intensify over time.
2015 Bradford Chardonnay ($27/bottle) – Composed of fruits from the dry climate of Paso Robles as well as from the cooler Edna Valley, this wine is nuanced with rich minerality and zesty acidity. Look for notes of peach and melon, backed up with incredible mouthfeel and a deliciously satisfying finish.
2014 Tres Jolie ($36/bottle) – Deep garnet color, the nose expresses a perfume of raspberry and potpourri with a faint hint of black truffle. 2014 Pindari Shiraz ($85/bottle) – This wine commands presence with its deep glossy purple complexion. The nose is huge, wild blueberry and raspberry fruit with hints of eucalyptus oil and cracked pepper.
