2008 Wayra Syrah Blend Tulum Valley, San Juan

A gem from the best region in Argentina for Syrah-San Juan's Tulum Valley. This Syrah Malbec blend shows deep garnet with a gorgeous purple rim, and a generous nose full of ripe blackberry laced with black pepper and a hint of star anise.  Boysenberry and currant fill the palate with creamy balsamic back notes and warm herbs.  The finish is so polished and very well-balanced with weighty tannins caressing the fruit.  Fabulous with a wide variety of grilled meats, and so many other dishes.
