2008 Elide Nero d'Avola

This lovely Sicilian rosso is all about the pleasure of spring time food and wine. Light purple in color, the nose expresses sweet briary fruits with hints of white pepper and flowers. Juicy and ripe on the palate, the flavors of raspberry and cranberry glide effortlessly without the intrusion of heavy oak or chewy tannin. This is certainly an easy drinker but you�ll still find plenty of complexity in the finish with subtle nuances of dried currant and black tea. The ideal compliment to barbequed chicken, fennel sausage, and vegetables.
