2006 E. Prissette Villa Symposia Syrah/Carignane, Coteaux du Languedoc

It is once again our pleasure to offer a unique 50% Syrah, 50% Carignan blend from Eric Prissette and his Villa Symposia Languedoc property.  This special cuvee showcases some of his very best fruit.  Heavy magenta in color, the nose boasts aromas of roasted meats, pink peppercorns, and pressed cherry skins.  Full and intense on the palate, the flavors of dark fruits mingle with nuances of worn leather and grilled herbs, all set on a frame of elegant tannin from aging on 12 months in aged French Oak from his Rol Valentin property in Saint-Émilion.  This robust, mysterious wine is best suited for any meal revolving around grilled, peppered meats.
