2007 Don Zofanor Cabernet Blend Liberty Vineyards, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza

This gorgeous Cab, Cab Franc and Merlot blend comes from pristine 85 year old vines in the Lujan de Cuyo area of Mendoza.  Made by legendary Federico Benegas-Lynch with passion and dedication to his family's legacy and the purity of expression.  Dusty rose-laced cherry and mossy sage on the nose gives way to a ripe and lush palate of red and black fruits with green peppercorn and forest floor.  The tannins caress the fruit with finesse, wrapping around the cassis with a touch of leather and vanilla. An exceptional wine from an exceptional place.
