2002 Château Bessan Ségur Cru Bourgeois, Médoc

This bold expression of 75% Cabernet, 25% Merlot is everything we love about the Left Bank of Bordeaux. A perfume of cassis, worn leather, and graphite leads to flavors of dark currant and black cherry with lingering nuances of licorice, mushroom, and mint.  A great wine that shows the importance of strict fruit selection and excellent terroir.
